Who She Is: Cycle and Strength Instructor


What She’s All About: Karen has a passion for fitness and cycling that runs deep. As a Heart Patient, she struggled with fitness as a part of her life prior to a medical procedure to fix an abnormality in her heart in 2008. Since then, she’s been able to do more than she ever could growing up and wants to share her love for moving and staying healthy with everyone at First Wind.

 

What She Loves Outside of the Studio: Enchiladas, Family, Non-Profit Work, Animals, Tennis, and Travel

  • The Ride
  • The Ride is an interactive metrics-based cycling class moving and weaving you through exciting virtual worlds, pushing you to be better than you were yesterday. You’ll be driven by music, you’ll be driven by speed, you’ll be driven by heart rate, and you’ll be driven by the desire to set your own record each and every ride. Each class closes with an upper body band workout hitting your core and arms before we send you on your way.

  • Ride to the Circuit
  • Ride to the Circuit is a challenging, stimulating combination class where half of your time is spent in The Ride and half of your time is spent circuit training: building strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, and more. Bring your tennis shoes!

  • Ride to the Barre
  • Ride to the Barre is an invigorating combination class where half of your time is spent in The Ride and half your time is spent at the barre lengthening, strengthening, and pulsing. Sweat, tone, sculpt.
